ICP's Safe-T-Prop system was designed as the result of several incidents in which unauthorised persons have tampered with props or removed anchor bolts. The system consists of the Safe-T-Prop, Safe-T-Shoe and the Safe-T-Lock all of which are subject to patent applications and trademarks.

All critical components of the system have been tested for compliance with AS 3850 by an independent NATA laboratory. Working Load limits have been set according to the results of physical tests rather than being based on theoretical calculations.

The heart of the system is the Safe-T-Prop. It was designed using state-of-the-art Computer Aided Design software. The design was extensively analysed using a Finite Element Analysis package to ensure that it would withstand the rigors of the industry.

Constructed from Australian manufactured Square Hollow Sections the Safe-T-Prop's unique design features set it apart from anything else in the industry. ICP engineers have incorporated a highly efficient ACME thread into the jackscrew design and located it at the top of the prop away from dust and dirt. A built in recessed grease nipple ensure the thread always rotates freely.

At the bottom of the prop a sealed pivot pin design is guaranteed to give many years of trouble free operation. It's unique three part design ensures that water and dirt will not affect the bearing surfaces. A built in recessed grease nipple makes for easy servicing of the prop between jobs.

The Safe-T-Prop system has been tested by an independent NATA laboratory to establish actual Working Load Limits. These limits are shown on the data plate fixed to all Safe-T-Props. In addition the Safe-T-Shoe and the lock pins have their individual Working Load Limits stamped onto the products.
